Are we nearly there yet!

Thank you for a wonderful (slightly wet) send off from school (we did wave back). The children are settled and happily chatting, singing and playing card games. Our arrival time is roughly 11.45am at Robinwood, a slightly later arrival time after encountering some slow traffic and the wet weather not helping.

We will endeavour to keep the blog up to date as much as possible. I will always share any message/ comments left on the blog with the children as we know this is something the children really look forward to.

Have a great day
Mr E, Miss Cuthbertson and Mr Ferguson πŸ˜ƒ

Rain, Rain, Go Away!

Sorry that this is our first post on the blog, but what an incredible (and busy) first day we have had at Robinwood! Before I dive into today’s adventures, I just want to say thank you for the fantastic send-off this morning (was that really only this morning?). As always, I have to say what a wonderful group of Year 6 children we have with us on residential. After a slightly longer journey than expected — traffic and weather both trying to test our patience — we finally arrived in North Wales. Thankfully, the Robinwood staff worked their magic, shuffled things around, and made sure the children didn’t miss a single activity. They even managed to make the rain stop and the sun shine! The children had just enough time to stretch their legs (and find the toilets!) before meeting their brilliant group leaders. Then it was straight to the first challenge: making their beds and sorting kit bags. I’m pleased to report that bottom sheets were wrestled on, pillowcases were stuffed, and duvets ...

Do we have to go home tomorrow?!

WOW!! WOW!! WOW!! What a fantastic day! Just when you think our children could not be any more magnificent, they go and prove us wrong again! I must say this every year but if I had a pound for every time a member of Robinwood staff commented on what a marvellous group of children we have, I’d be rich enough to retire here in North Wales. The compliments about their manners, enthusiasm, and respect for each other and the staff have made us smile all day long. The day began with a glowing report from the famous Robinwood Night Ninjas. No midnight escapades or lively discussions this time — the children were brilliant throughout the night and woke up ready and raring to go. First stop: breakfast! With sausages, beans, cereal, toast, fruit, and the ever-popular hash browns, the children were more than fuelled up for the action-packed day ahead. The staff tucked in too, and I think it’s safe to say the meals have been amazing for both children and adults alike. The morning brought a w...
